"Paysages Éclectiques" is the fourth chapter of the collaboration between Mathieu and Emmanuel. 

The project started from piano improvisations and took many 'eclectic' directions; more live improvisations and musical elements quickly came to life, enriched via multiple exchanges back and forth between Canada and Finland. 

We did not hold rigidly to a single musical paradigm or set of assumptions through those twelve tracks, except for the minor scale based on C. 

The sound design still is a blend of techniques using analogue and digital sources, crafted around sometimes unconventional plays and recordings, which we wanted to preserve and enrich; like creative travelling shots through evocative landscapes that share some imaginary connections and sounds.
